The city of Dallas is the perfect place for one of the fastest growing Jazz festivals in the Southwest part of the United States. Billed as the Riverfront Jazz Festival (RJF), The Black Academy of Arts and Letters (TBAAL) will announce the stellar list of national performing artists for its 4th annual RJF 2020 lineup, Tuesday, March 17, 2020, 11am at the downtown Dallas Arts District, Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, 2301 Flora Street.
For the past three years (2017, 2018, 2019), the festival has attracted thousands of patrons from across America. True to the institution’s mission, TBAAL will continue to create strong collaborations and partnerships with organizations and businesses, and simultaneously present a diverse roster of performers from not only around the country, but also from the rank of some of Dallas’ best musicians.
Presenting a wide range of music, mostly in the jazz idiom, one of the festivals’ closing highlights will feature members of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO) performing with one of the festival’s jazz legends. “This festival is inevitably going to be another one of Dallas’ featured music entertainment attractions,” said Curtis King, the festival creator and producer. “We’re glad that the DSO has accepted to be a part of the festival’s lineup again this year.”
