In David Daniel’s solo show “Every Brilliant Thing.” a six-year-old boy decides to make a list of all the things that are brilliant about the world after his mother is hospitalized. The list starts with ice cream, water fights and staying up past bedtime. He continues the list through his adulthood. This touching coming-of-age story comes to Overture Center via Forward Theater Co. Jan. 23- Feb. 9 

Music
Chicago-based duo Whitney perform songs from their new album “Forever Turned Around.” They’ll be joined onstage by Japanese quartet Chai which draws inspiration from the kawaii subculture of Japan. See these two groups perform at The Sylvee. Jan. 24
