Keane are to bring their iconic sound to Cannock Chase as one of the headliners for Forest Live 2020.
The BRIT Award-winning rock band behind hits This Is The Last Time, Somewhere Only We Know and Everybody’s Changing will perform in the Staffordshire forest on Saturday June 20, 2020.
They are the latest artists to be announced for the series of outdoor summer music concerts with James Morrison and James Blunt also performing at Cannock Chase in June.
The last time Keane appeared as part of Forest Live was a decade ago in 2010 and it is a welcome return for fans.
Keane’s gig follows a long-awaited UK tour during 2019 to coincide with their recent studio album, Cause and Effect, when they performed at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall in September.
They had left fans desperate to hear more from the band after a six-year hiatus when singer Tom Chaplin ventured out on his own to do two solo albums.
Speaking about the band’s reunion this year, Chaplin said he missed his “sparring partner” and band mate Tim Rice-Oxley, adding: “I found myself wondering how I had come to let this very enigmatic and important relationship in my life drift.”
Keane’s albums have accumulated over 13 million sales worldwide with their debut album Hopes and Fears in 2004 earning them two BRIT Awards for Best British Album and Best British Breakthrough Act. It also became one of the best selling albums in UK chart history.

They followed this up with albums Under The Iron Sea, Perfect Symmetry, Strangeland and 2019’s Cause and Effect, songs from which will feature in the summer concert organised by Forestry England.
