Last Saturday, Keithley, Mayor Mike Hurley and Burnaby firefighters gathered at the farmers market to accept those donations and they were overwhelmed at the response.

“I was expecting about 50 donations and we’re now approaching 250,” Keithley said.

Each person who donated received a tax receipt.

Keithley is working to share the benefits of music with Burnaby children who want to play music but cannot afford instruments or lessons.

If you have something you want to donate, you can email Keithley at joe.keithley@burnaby.ca.
