K-pop royalty BTS has released a comeback trailer ahead of the forthcoming album Map of the Soul: 7, which is out later this month.
Titled “Outro: Ego,” the new video was released on the group’s official YouTube channel and Twitter account. It features striking visuals, with BTS member J-Hope seen in various colorful and playful backdrops, from driving down an open road to night time cityscapes and fireworks to an image of what appears to be J-Hope holding a cake as a young boy.
The new video sees J-Hope singing and bopping to an upbeat dance track, featuring music samples from the band’s 2013 debut album 2 Cool 4 Skool. The song’s bright, happy and youthful feel may be a glimpse of the tone of the upcoming album.
Anticipation for the new album has been building and the latest trailer has received more than 13 million views on the band’s YouTube channel since it’s release.
Several BTS fans have taken to social media to share their impressions of the video using the hashtag #EgoIsHere, along with a string of other related terms and hashtags.

Last month, the group released “Black Swan,” a new track from their upcoming album, with a new music video featuring a dramatic performance from a modern dance group. BTS also performed the song live for the first time on James Corden’s The Late Late Show last week.
It’s been a busy few weeks for the band, who also performed at the 2020 Grammy Awards last month, becoming the first Korean act to sing at the historic awards show.
The new BTS album is out on February 21. Tickets for their latest concert tour, which includes 15 dates in the U.S. and Canada, go on sale from February 5.
