Organizers of Switzerland’s Montreux Jazz Festival have dug into their video archives to debut John Lee Hooker’s 1983 performance for the first time ever.
“Since its inception in 1967, the Montreux Jazz Festival has been shaped & inspired by the rich culture of African American Music and its artists,” reads a description. “Streaming revenues for this video will be entirely donated to the National Museum of African American Music.”
