Hiatt latest to reschedule to 2021 Lowell Summer Music Series – Lowell Sun

Lowell Summer Music Series officials are busy rescheduling to 2021 some of the shows they had planned for this summer after canceling 2020’s series due to the coronavirus.

Already rescheduled are Gaelic Storm (June 9), Joss Stone (July 10), the Colin Hay Band (Aug. 2, 2021) and Tower of Power (Aug. 21, 2021).

Gaelic Storm

The latest to be rescheduled is legendary singer-songwriter John Hiatt. He’ll play Sept. 3, 2021. Tickets are $40, or $140 for premium seating, at lowellsummermusic.org.

If you think you’ve never heard a John Hiatt song before, you’re more than likely wrong. You may just have heard them being sung by others.

Take, for instance, “Thing Called Love,” which Bonnie Raitt too to No. 11 in 1989. That same year, the Jeff Healey Band took Hiatt’s “Angel Eyes” to No. 5. Then there’s “Have a Little Faith in Me,” which has been recorded by several artists, including Joe Cocker and Mandy Moore, who took it to No. 39 in 2003.

Joss Stone

Long celebrated as a skilled storyteller and keen observer of life’s twists and turns, Hiatt can get at the heart of a knotty emotion or a moment in time with just a sharp, incisive lyric or witty turn of phrase.

Gaelic Storm is a Celtic music juggernaut two decades into a career that has encompassed country, bluegrass and rock into its Irish roots. Tickets are $34, or $134 for premium seating.
Joss Stone is a Grammy- and Brit Award-winning British soul singer who has released seven albums and worked alongside such greats as Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, James Brown, Sting and Carlos Santana. Tickets are $47, or $147 for premium seating.

The Colin Hay Band is the latest outfit put together by the lead singer for Men At Work, known for their ’80s hits “Who Can It Be Now?” and “Down Under.” He has also

The members of Tower of Power have been playing their together funk-injected soul music for more than five decades and have played with Elton John, Rod Stewart, Peter Frampton, Smokey Robinson and many more. Tickets are $49, or $149 for premium seating.
