The Detroit Jazz Festival’s virtual 2020 edition will include an opening night performance by Pharoah Sanders and a closing set from Robert Glasper — with a whole lot of Detroit artists in between.
Nearly a month after announcing the Labor Day weekend event would be shifting to a streaming and broadcast format, the jazz fest has revealed its four-day lineup.
Sanders and Glasper will be among the dozens of artists performing in a controlled environment inside the Renaissance Center, where three sound stages will emulate the festival’s traditional outdoor stages.
