Telluride Jazz Festival 2019: Celebrating The 43rd Annual Festival In Photos – Live for Live Music

Telluride, Colorado celebrated the 43rd annual Telluride Jazz Festival 2019 in the mid-August heat on August 9th- 11th. As an immersive music festival in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, the festival is ranked among the world’s most scenic music events in the country, celebrating three days and nights of live jazz.

This year’s lineup featured acclaimed artists, Grammy Award winners, cutting edge innovators, musical super-groups, and some of the best student bands in the country. Attendees got three jazz-filled days consisting of sets from Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Lettuce, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Victor Wooten Band, Turkuaz, Cha Wa, Spaga, Veronica Swift, Matthew Whitaker, Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, Mattson 2 Play A Love Supreme, Battle Of Santiago, Danny Green Trio Plus Strings, LP And The Vinyl, Tyree Morris & Hearts Of Worship, Voodoo Orchestra, J-Calvin, Telluride Student All-Stars Jazz Ensemble, and many more.

Along with all the music, attendees got to make the most of the fun-filled weekend with food vendors, craft brews and cocktails, featuring some of Colorado’s renowned craftsmanship. At night, historic indoor venues hosted the musical parties, with just a short walk from the day’s Telluride Town Park. The special Jazz After Dark late night performances showcased unique musical collaborations and up-close viewing of some of the world’s most talented musicians. The New Orleans Second Line brass band parade kicked off Sunday’s musical adventures, illuminating the streets of Telluride with colorful floats, costumes, beads, and decorations that all participated in.
