The Rock and Roll Playhouse continue their family friendly concert offerings this weekend with two shows featuring the music of the Grateful Dead, both of which have been altered to specifically celebrate the music of Robert Hunter, the iconic lyricist who passed away earlier this week.
RRPH will host “Music of the Grateful Dead for Kids” events at their two original homes this weekend, Brooklyn Bowl (Saturday, Sept. 28) and Garcia’s at Port Chester, NY’s Capitol Theatre (Sunday, Sept. 29), featuring the legendary songs from Hunter’s extensive work with the Dead, which included enduring tunes like “Uncle John’s Band,” “Touch of Grey,” “Casey Jones,” “Friend of the Devil” and “Truckin’.”
