Bands bring the beat to Scherer Park for the Gr8 Summer Blues Concert • the Hi-lo – Long Beach Post

The Gr8 Summer Blues Concert at Scherer Park brought the smoothest of blues and jazz to the local Long Beach crowd on Saturday afternoon.

Neighbors, politicians, and local business owners mingled, relaxed, and chatted to the sounds of acts such as the Bernie Pearl Blues Band, Alvin Hayes Jr. and Friends, New Blues Revolution, and Al Williams and Friends.

Overall, the five-hour celebration served as an idyllic backdrop for a classic neighborhood gathering.
