Humane Society of the Palouse Soup and Pie Fundraiser | 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Where: 1912 Center, 412 E Third St.
This week the Humane Society is hosting a fundraiser at the 1912 Center. It costs $10 to attend and donations will be accepted. Proceeds go to the Humane Society and their efforts to help stray animals.
Screening of the Democratic Debate | 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday
Where: UI Department of Student Involvement, ISUB
The Center for Volunteerism & Social Action has been hosting free screenings of the Democratic Debates, and this week there will be another opportunity to view them. This Wednesday watch the Democratic Debate in the ISUB for free.
Beyond the Book | 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday
Where: Whitewater Room, ISUB
The Sustainability Center is hosting a four-part discussion on the book “The Marrow Thieves” by Cherie Dimaline. This Tuesday is part two of that series. Discussions of climate change and various topics will be held.
Interfaith Climate Discussion | 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Where: Whitewater Room, ISUB
The Sustainability Center is hosting a discussion on how faith takes a part in society’s views on climate change. This discussion has the goal of having people come together to share their views on climate change and faith.
Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival | Friday and Saturday
Where: various locations on UI’s campus
Since the ’60s UI has held the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival. This festival is one of the largest and oldest educational jazz festivals in the world. There will be various workshops, performances and activities during the weekend.
