The 13th annual Roots Picnic is going virtual. The music festival created and hosted by The Roots has been growing in popularity since its first show in June 2008, and this year’s festival is set to be one of the biggest yet. Even though audiences won’t be traveling to Philadelphia for the show, you’ll still get to see a number of music’s top performers up-close and personal through this livestreamed event.
Along with performances by H.E.R., Lil Baby, Kirk Franklin, Musiq Soulchild, SZA, and other artists, the Roots Picnic 2020 virtual experience will feature appearances by special guests like Michelle Obama, Janelle MonĂ¡e, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kerry Washington, Tom Hanks, Liza Koshy, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and more.
