The 24th annual Midland Care Celebration Walk goes virtual this year
TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – The Midland Care Celebration Walk is going virtual this year. The Celebration Walk has been held each year in May for the past two decades to honor loved ones who have died.
“Today luminaries are being picked up by those who have ordered them off our web site as well those who are just coming by to pick them up,” said Zach Ahrens, Vice President of Midland Care Connections. “People are welcome to come to our website, Midlandcare.org or join our group, Midland Care Celebration Walk on Facebook, as we will go virtual Friday night for the Celebration Walk.”

The Monarch Butterflies are beginning migration South
TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Dennis Dinwiddie, with the Topeka Zoo held a Monarch Tagging class Tuesday evening at the Kansas Museum of History.
Registered participants were given a brief lesson on the migration of the Monarch Butterfly and then were sent out with nets to capture Monarchs. Each Butterfly that was caught was given a numbered tag and sent back on it’s migration course.

Evergy Plaza celebrates first day of fall with concert by Kyle Austin
TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Evergy Plaza in downtown Topeka celebrated the first day of fall with a concert by Kyle Austin.
Vendors at the concert included Schenkel Farms, Circle Coffee, Cashmere Popcorn and Hazel Hill Chocolate.
