The community of educators and music lovers at School of Rock Doylestown have put our heads together and devised a series of Fall programs to keep our edgy and enriching brand of music education alive and kicking during these challenging times.
We came to the conclusion that by following certain recommendations by the CDC and WHO, we could continue to offer …
… the value of music education.
… the spirit of community.
… the confidence of conquering the stage.
… all the things that the School of Rock has always stood for … all with social distancing and remote learning in mind.
Rock ‘N Roll After School Programming includes small group rehearsals with Rock 101 or Rock Jam, and customized rock instruction with Intensive Camps.
Rock 101 students will enroll for weekly 90 minute rehearsals during off-peak hours with a small group in addition to their weekly private lesson. This rehearsal gives beginner students ages 8-12 years old the experience of playing with a group and will qualify for graduation from the program into our Performance Program after meeting specific criteria. Rock Jam students will enroll for weekly 90 minute rehearsals during off-peak hours with a small group in addition to their weekly private lesson. This rehearsal gives beginner-advanced students ages 11-18 years old the opportunity to enhance their group performance skills and explore their musicianship in a flexible, informal band practice. Want to write a song with a band? Want more time playing your secondary instruments? Want to add a group rehearsal to complement your lessons? Or, maybe, you just want more time playing music!
Intensive Camps run from 2:30-4:00pm, Monday-Friday, through the fall. There is a different topic each week. Students enroll for one week at a time. Intensive Camps are designed for musicians ages 10-18. Each camp has space for both in person or remote students. Camp topics include guitar, recording, and percussion. There is something for everyone and space is limited!
For those who are ready to dive in, to see full descriptions and to enroll! Or call us at 215-230-3406 for more information.
Never stop rocking!
