Dead Man’s Pop, a box set of The Replacements will be out on September 27 via Rhino. According to Pitchfork, the new box set on four compact CDs and one vinyl LP, it features 60 songs spanning 1989’s album Don’t Tell a Soul through past live performances from their catalog of recordings, as well as unarchives previously studio session with Tom Waits.
The “mixed as it was originally intended” package is bound with a hardcover book featuring Bob Mehr’s photos and essay. This is Mehr’s second collaboration with The Replacements after he published the biography Trouble Boys: The True Story of the Replacements in 2015. Check out the artwork of Dead Man’s Pop below.
